Corn and Bean Salsa/Salad

This is really fresh and tasty on its own as a salad, or with chips as a salsa! You can play around with the ingredients and seasonings too - it's very versatile.

Ingredients:

1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 can whole kernel corn
1 small green or red bell pepper, chopped
1 onion chopped and rinsed
1-2 green chilies (I used serranos, they're about 20 times hotter than a jalapeno)
handful of chopped cilantro
1 tomato, chopped (optional, I didn't put any in)
1 firm avocado, chopped (also optional)
3-4 tbsp lime/lemon juice
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder (or fresh minced garlic)
salt and black pepper to taste

Mix everything together. Done. :)
